The inspiration for these raffia woven wall art pieces, are derived from wooden Sun Masks made by the Bwa people of Burkina Faso. They are worn during dances performed in agricultural ceremonies to celebrate the farming season and promote an abundant yield.
A multitude of techniques and expert hand weaving skills are used to create these striking pieces.
